Shipwrecks in SA waters

This listing includes all shipwrecks which resulted in total loss in South Australian waters. Groundings and capsizes etc where the vessel was salvaged and saw further service are not included.
The index maintained by the compiler also includes data on the location, date, description of the vessel, casualties and general notes. For many entries there is also a detailed report of the event especially for pre-1875 wrecks.
